We are making a commitment to providing:
-
An initial screening assessment to provide us and you with further information regarding whether a diagnostic assessment will be helpful to you.
-
Providing written feedback regarding the screening assessment so that you can decide whether or not to continue with a full assessment. The screening assessment is not diagnostic. It provides information that may suggest Autism / ADHD is likely to be present but doesn’t guarantee a positive diagnosis if you continue with the full assessment.
-
Providing you with the opportunity to terminate the assessment process after screening without further cost to you.
-
If you wish to continue, providing 1 – 2 assessment sessions (as agreed to meet your needs), an assessment report (copied to your GP if agreed) and a follow up appointment for the set cost agreed. When arranging the assessment appointment(s) we will provide an estimate of the time needed to complete but may need to amend the timescale if we cannot complete in the time agreed. We will let you know as soon as we become aware that a change is needed.
-
Further post diagnostic support will be discussed after the assessment is completed and if agreed will be provided on an hourly basis at our current rate of £135.
-
-
If for any reason you are late for a session, the session can still be provided but the clinician may be unable to work beyond the agreed time slot, as this may disrupt sessions for others who may be waiting.
-
It is understood that sometimes sudden events, such as emergencies, make it necessary for you to cancel your appointment last minute or fail to attend and without notification. In general, if you fail to give 48 hour notice you will be charged an hourly rate of £135 for the time allocated for the appointment.
-

-
As part of our code(s) of practice we are required to carry out continuing professional development, and to engage in regular on-going clinical supervision. This is to ensure an ethical and professional service to clients. We may discuss your case in supervision but would not use any identifying details.
-
Confidentiality will be maintained within the codes of ethics and legal requirements. Confidentiality does not apply where it would mean that your clinician might break the law, or where withholding information means your clinician would breach their codes of ethics. Confidentiality may be breached if your clinician considers there is a risk you may harm yourself or others. In such exceptional circumstances, where there is concern for your wellbeing, or that of others, it may be necessary to seek outside help. In such an event where your clinician is considering breaching confidentiality, you will normally be consulted first.
-
In the case of a disclosure concerning acts of terrorism, vulnerable adult or child protection issues or drug trafficking, confidentiality will be breached, and such disclosures will be passed onto the relevant authority without delay. Due consideration should be exercised before disclosing anything of a previously unreported criminal nature, as we are obligated to contact relevant authorities.
-
Your relationship with clinicians will remain a professional one at all times, the boundaries of which (such as contact outside of appointments for clinical intervention) can be discussed and agreed during appointments.
-
Notes will be taken during and after appointments, which will be kept in accordance with the UK General Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (1998). Please see our privacy policy for details.
-
If agreed payments are not paid on time, we reserve the right to end all further intervention. This may mean that the assessment or report are not completed or there is a sudden end to post diagnostic support / therapy. Where possible we would prefer to discuss issues with you to try and find a practical solution or adjustment. However, we reserve the right to decide to end the service if an agreement cannot be reached. Please note any threats or acts of violence will invalidate this agreement and contact will cease.
-
Assessments will also not take place if you arrive under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed medication.
-
There may be occasions when appointments may be cancelled because of illness or because of unexpected life events. Clinicians will try to give you as much notice as possible of any cancellation and will offer an alternative time. If post diagnostic support is agreed you will be notified of any holidays to be taken that might affect regular sessions by your clinician well in advance.
-
In the event you are unhappy with the service you receive, please discuss this with your clinician. If you feel unable to do so or do not receive satisfactory resolution, then you have the right to complain to our professional bodies, the HCPC, BPS or NMC.
